There is a number of websites and apps out there that offer free ebooks for download and use on your Kindle. But I have a favorite one because it has been around for a while, is easy and sleak to use and offers the available books in many different formats. And that is ManyBooks.net
ManyBooks is a source for over 25.000 free ebooks from different sources. The cooperate with the Project Gutenberg archives, which means you will be able to find a lot of classics on the site. Over time ManyBooks has also grown into a platform where self-publishing indie authors get the chance to introduce their works to a wider public and get some first readers and fans. The site is really beautifully designed and very easy to handle. In your “Account Settings” You can choose the Format you want to use. The Standard Kindle Format is AZW3. If you find a book you want to read, download the book to your computer.
You have 3 Ways to get the free Kindle books to your eReader.
- Use the Send-to-Kindle Software if you have it installed and drag and drop the file into the file-picker
- Send the file as an attachment to your kindle e-mail address
- Connect the Kindle to your computer and drag-and-drop the file into the documents folder
Enjoy free reading.
